The location is about six blocks from the current library and two blocks from the BART station. The new facility will include a cafe, community meeting room and 145 parking spaces. Castro Valley is also served by the Alameda County Bookmobile, a library on wheels with books, magazines, music CDs, etc. for children and adults, which makes regular weekly stops in Castro Valley neighborhoods.
